Suvuq Qoba, Limestone cave in Chatyr-Dag plateau, Ukraine.
The natural cave formation contains multiple chambers with stalactites and stalagmites, while water constantly drips from its ceiling at 991 meters above sea level.
Zoologist Konstantin Merezhkovsky conducted excavations in 1879, discovering Paleolithic remains including coal fragments and bones within the cave system.
The name Suvuq Qoba translates from Crimean Tatar language as Cold Cave, reflecting the constant temperature of 5 degrees Celsius inside.
Visitors need specialized equipment and guidance to explore the cave, which currently serves as a source of drinking water for the local region.
The cave features an underground spring that maintains a constant flow of cold water through its chambers, creating distinct echoing sounds beneath the vaults.
