Reem International Circuit, Racing circuit near Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Reem International Circuit is a motorsport facility built on desert terrain in Saudi Arabia, west of Riyadh. The site includes a main track with multiple layout options, a dedicated drag strip, and a separate karting area.
The circuit opened in March 2008, driven by racing driver Abdulaziz Al Faisal, who wanted to create a proper motorsport venue in the region. It was one of the first modern racing complexes built near Riyadh.
The facility takes its name from the Al Reem deer, an animal native to the surrounding desert dunes. This connection to local wildlife reflects a common practice in the region of naming places after animals tied to the land.
The circuit sits along the Makkah Highway west of Riyadh and is most easily reached by car. Public transport is not a practical option here, so arranging a ride or rental vehicle ahead of time is a good idea.
The site is one of the few places in the region where circuit racing and drag racing coexist on the same grounds. Drivers can switch between the two formats in a single visit, which is unusual for a facility of this size.
