Ha'il

Located at an elevation of 992 meters, Ha'il extends across a mountainous terrain with agricultural fields surrounding the urban center.

The city functioned as the capital of the Emirate of Jabal Shammar from 1836 until 1921, when Saudi forces took control of the region.

The traditions of Ha'il reflect the influence of Bedouin heritage, with the figure of Hatim al-Tai representing the values of Arab hospitality.
