Moderna Museet, Art museum in Skeppsholmen, Sweden
Moderna Museet contains 6,000 paintings, 25,000 prints, 400 art videos, and 100,000 photographs from international artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.
The museum first opened its doors on May 9, 1958, and moved to its current building designed by Rafael Moneo in 1998 after a four-year construction period.
The collection includes works from renowned artists such as Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Marcel Duchamp, Louise Bourgeois, Henri Matisse, and Robert Rauschenberg.
The museum operates Tuesday and Friday from 10:00 to 20:00, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 to 18:00, and remains closed on Mondays.
The outdoor sculpture park features installations from international artists, integrating art with the naval heritage environment of Skeppsholmen island.
