Durlings led

Durlings led is a mountain trail in Kiruna Municipality that connects Singistugan to the southern peak of Kebnekaise through highland terrain. The route crosses varied elevations with steep sections and open valleys between these two points.

The route was established in the 1800s as explorers mapped routes through Sweden's far north and the Kebnekaise mountain region. These early pathways later became the foundation for the modern hiking trail.

The path crosses lands where Sami people have practiced reindeer herding for generations, shaping how the landscape is used and valued. Visitors can observe signs of this traditional way of life woven into the terrain.

Good hiking equipment and mountain experience are necessary as the trail includes steep sections and rough terrain that demand careful footing. Weather at altitude can shift quickly, so hikers should be prepared for sudden changes in conditions.

During summer months, the trail offers the rare experience of midnight sun as it lies well above the Arctic Circle in Sweden's far north. This continuous daylight allows hikers to walk at any hour without darkness.
