Lilla Blecktornsparken, Urban park in Södermalm district, Stockholm, Sweden
Lilla Blecktornsparken is an urban park in Södermalm with various walking paths and recreational areas. The grounds feature different elevation levels and carefully maintained green spaces that invite people to stroll and spend time outside.
The park was designed in 1937 by architect Per Olof Hallman and incorporates parts of a manor garden from 1787. This connection to an earlier estate shapes the site to this day.
The park honors its heritage through remnants of a historic ash tree avenue that connects visitors to Stockholm's past. These trees shape the landscape today and create a link between old and new.
The park is located at the intersection of Katarina Bangata and Ringvägen and is easy to find. Following substantial improvements completed between 2015 and 2017, the pathways and facilities are well-maintained and accessible to visitors.
At the center of the park sits a stone pond designed by garden architect Erik Glemme. This crafted water feature is often overlooked but rewards visitors who take time to notice it.
