Tillbergska villan

Tillbergska villan is a three-story residential villa in Diplomatstaden featuring light rose plaster facades, copper-clad turrets, and white-painted shutters. The property overlooks Djurgårdsbrunnsviken from its elevated hillside location.

Architect Ivar Tengbom designed this residence in 1919 for district court chief Knut Tillberg. Businessman Axel Wenner-Gren later acquired the property before 1925.

The building displays national romantic architectural elements with detailed craftsmanship visible throughout its design. Its style helped shape the character of the Diplomatstaden neighborhood.

The villa sits on elevated ground offering clear views of the surrounding waterfront areas. Access is limited to exterior observation since the building now functions as a diplomatic residence.

The property features a mirrored C-shaped floor plan that wraps around a central courtyard. This unusual layout with a distinctive balcony and turret on the southern side creates an interesting architectural composition.
