The multipurpose stadium contains 50,000 seats and features an athletics track, training facilities, press areas, VIP boxes, and a panoramic restaurant.
The construction of this major sports complex began in February 2020 and required an investment of 238 million euros before opening in 2022.
The inauguration ceremony included performances by Senegalese musicians Ismaël Lô and Youssou N'Dour alongside a football match with African legends.
Located 30 kilometers from Dakar and near Blaise Diagne International Airport, the stadium connects to the capital through new road infrastructure.
The facility incorporates environmental standards meeting FIFA Green Goal criteria and will host the 2026 Summer Youth Olympics as the main venue.
