Çorum Archaeological Museum

Çorum Archaeological Museum occupies a four-story building from the 19th century and displays artifacts from Alacahöyük, Sapinuwa, and Hattusa organized by historical periods. The layout helps visitors understand the development and changes across these ancient settlements over centuries.

The building was constructed in 1914 as a hospital and later served as an agricultural school and high school before being converted into a museum in 1968. This transformation allowed the region's archaeological discoveries to be gathered and made accessible to the public.

The museum displays reconstructions of Hittite burial practices and funerary objects from ancient civilizations that once lived in the region. These pieces tell stories about the beliefs and rituals that shaped daily life in antiquity.

The museum is located on Cengiz Topel Street and is easy to reach from the city center by walking or taking local transport. Visiting in the morning or early afternoon allows you to explore at a comfortable pace without crowds.

The museum features an interactive learning area where visitors can discover details about Early Bronze Age burial ceremonies in an engaging way. This hands-on approach brings ancient rituals and practices to life in a memorable manner.
