Konuralp Museum, Archaeological museum in Konuralp, Turkey
Konuralp Museum is housed in a three-story building with exhibition halls dedicated to archaeology, ethnography, and stone artifacts from ancient civilizations. The spaces are designed to present these different collections in an organized way.
The museum was founded in 1994 and preserves artifacts from Prusias ad Hypium, an ancient city that once stood here. Its collections document how the region changed over time from ancient to modern periods.
The ethnography section displays items from Ottoman-Turkish tradition, including traditional clothing, weapons, and household objects. These objects show how people lived and what mattered to them in daily life.
The museum sits at the entrance of Konuralp Town along the highway connecting Düzce and Akçakoca, making it easy to find. It has a laboratory and conference spaces that support research and preservation of the collections.
The collection features a notable mosaic of Orpheus and statues of mythological figures from the first century. These artistic works show the Greek heritage that influenced the region for a long time.
