Samsun Gazi Museum, Historical museum in Ulugazi Mahallesi, Turkey.

The Samsun Gazi Museum occupies a two-story brick building with timber interior walls and displays archaeological finds alongside personal possessions of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. The collections also include ancient artifacts from the former city of Amisos and document the founding period.

The building was originally the Mantika Palas Hotel, constructed in 1902, and became headquarters during Ataturk's arrival in Samsun on May 19, 1919. This date marks the start of the National Liberation Movement.

The building holds objects that reflect the daily life and choices of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, alongside Ottoman documents that tell a story of transition. Visitors can sense how these rooms became a pivotal place in shaping a new nation.

The museum is located in the Ilkadim district on Mecidiye Street and welcomes visitors who want to spend time exploring the rooms at a comfortable pace. It helps to plan a visit when you can move through the space without feeling rushed.

The collection contains jewelry from the Hellenistic period and bronze spearheads with carved reliefs that reveal ancient craftsmanship in the region. Equally striking are pierced skulls from the Early Bronze Age that show burial practices of distant ancestors.
