Saint Paul Church

Saint Paul Church is a church building in Adana featuring a prominent entrance facade with decorative architectural details. A 2.5-meter (8 ft) bronze statue of Virgin Mary holding baby Jesus sits atop the roof and is visible from the surrounding streets.

The structure was built between 1880 and 1890 as an Armenian Apostolic Church. After the Armenian population left Adana in 1915, the building became affiliated with the Vatican.

The building earned its Turkish name Bebekli Kilise from the bronze statue of Virgin Mary holding baby Jesus, since bebek means baby in Turkish. This local name reflects how residents identify the place by its most distinctive feature.

The church is located between Cemal Gürsel Street and 5 Ocak Square, making it easy to reach from the city center. It opens five days a week during morning and early afternoon hours.

The building stands close to several other historical sites such as Oil Mosque, Kazancılar Bazaar, and Adana Clock Tower. This cluster of heritage places makes the area a focal point for exploring different layers of the city's past.
