Description
Kirazlıbent Nature Park is a protected reserve within the Belgrade Forest that covers nearly 1,900 hectares and features mixed woodlands with sessile oak, chestnut, and hornbeam trees. The grounds include hiking trails, cycling paths, and designated picnic areas for visitors.
History
Sultan Mahmud II ordered the construction of a dam on Kirazlı Creek in 1818, which gave the area its present name. The site later became protected as one of several natural reserves within the broader forest system.
