The Mausoleum of Zübeyde Hanım stands within the courtyard of Ferik Osman Pasha Mosque on a street bearing her name in Karşıyaka district.
The municipality of Izmir constructed this tomb in 1940 to honor Zübeyde Hanım, the mother of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of the Republic of Turkey.
The mausoleum represents Turkish architectural elements from the early twentieth century, incorporating precise geometric shapes and traditional stone masonry techniques.
Visitors can reach the mausoleum through the main entrance of Ferik Osman Pasha Mosque, where they will find an open space with benches and gardens.
The memorial site includes a landscaped park at 14 meters above sea level, offering views across the surrounding Bahariye neighborhood.
