Jiao Lung Waterfall

Jiao Lung Waterfall drops in distinct stages down a steep rocky slope of Mount Da Ta. The water cascades through the mountainous terrain in clearly visible sections as it descends.

The falls influenced the founding and growth of the nearby Fengshan hamlet over time. Water sources and the location shaped where people chose to settle and how they traveled through the mountains.

The name comes from local tradition and connects the falls to stories in Chinese mythology about dragons and water. People in the area still speak of this place as part of their connection to the mountain.

Water flow is strongest right after rain and drops quickly within days. The best time to visit is during seasons with more rainfall when the water runs fuller.

The water covers a short horizontal distance but drops at an extremely steep angle, losing elevation rapidly. This sharp angle makes the power of the falling water more intense than typical waterfalls of its size.
