Taipei National University of the Arts is an arts university in Beitou district, Taiwan, focused on performance and visual arts education. The campus spreads over several neo-Chinese style buildings and includes concert halls, studios, screening rooms and rehearsal spaces for different creative disciplines.
The institution started in 1982 as the National Institute of the Arts and moved to Guandu in 1991, settling on a larger site. It gained university status in 2001, then expanded its degree programs and facilities.
Students work across seven schools covering performance, visual art and film, and the campus serves as both classroom and creative workspace. Rehearsals and performances take place regularly in the various halls, which are used for teaching and public shows alike.
International students can find on-campus housing, sports facilities and wireless internet, along with help for administrative matters. Buildings sit within walking distance of each other, making it easy to move around the campus on foot.
The Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts on campus hosts rotating exhibitions that bring together contemporary and traditional art forms. Many events are open to visitors, offering a look at the creative work happening at the university.
