The best way to arrive is by ferry from Shuitou Pier, which runs regularly and brings you to the island. Within the area, local bus lines help you get around between the different villages and facilities.
A power plant called Tashan supplies electricity to the entire area and is a major industrial facility. The plant is central to one of the economic foundations of the island.
