Shizi

Shihzih spans 301 square kilometers in southeastern Pingtung County, featuring mountainous terrain with Fenggang Creek and Fangshan Creek flowing through the region.

The territory belonged to the Paiwan indigenous Chaobo Obol settlements before Dutch colonization, with a large rock formation resembling a lion's head naming the area.

The Shihzih Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall displays Paiwan art collections, traditional hunting life paintings, and indigenous totem carvings in a slate stone building.

Provincial Highway 1 and County Highway 199 connect Shihzih to neighboring townships, with public bus services providing transportation to surrounding areas.

Neiwen Village contains a three-kilometer avenue of pen bamboo trees, decorated with bridges displaying indigenous totems and traditional Paiwan attire murals.
