Manjhou township, Rural township in Pingtung County, Taiwan
Manzhou Township spans 142 square kilometers along the southeastern coast, featuring mountains, grasslands, and the Pacific Ocean at its eastern border.
The name Manzhou originated from different language interpretations, including Japanese occupation-era terms derived from Hokkien words meaning mosquito cricket.
The township contains eight villages where 25 percent of residents belong to the Paiwan indigenous community, maintaining their traditional customs and practices.
Visitors can reach popular destinations within 25 minutes, including Jialeshui, Hengchun, and Nanwan, with abundant parking spaces throughout the area.
Taiwan County Highway 200 runs through extensive Pangula grass fields, creating a natural corridor that earned recognition as Taiwan's most beautiful road.
