The peak took its name from rock formations at the summit that resemble the Chinese characters 品 and 田. These distinctive shapes became the basis for the name that continues today.
This peak forms part of the Holy Ridge, a mountainous region that holds special meaning in climbing culture and carries the name Japanese mountaineers gave it decades ago.
Climbing this peak demands technical skills and proper gear, as the route includes rock climbing sections and demanding terrain throughout the ascent. Mountaineering experience and preparation are essential.
From the summit you can see both the north and south faces of the neighboring peak Dabajianshan. This dual perspective is something most visitors miss during their climb.
