Aurora Art Museum is a contemporary art museum in Songshan District housing a collection of over 1000 objects including jade, bronze, and Buddhist artifacts. These pieces are displayed within the Aurora 21st Century Building using modern exhibition spaces.
The museum was founded in 2003 by Chen Yung-tai, chairman of AURORA Group, based on artifacts collected over many decades. This collection became the foundation for the institution today.
The museum displays Chinese artworks and collaborates with academic institutions to advance understanding of the region's creative traditions. Visitors encounter traditional objects presented in a contemporary setting.
The museum is located near Nanjing East Road Station on the Taipei Metro, making it easy to reach by public transit. Plan to spend roughly one hour for a complete tour.
