New Taipei City Constituency 4, Legislative district in Xinzhuang, Taiwan
New Taipei City Constituency 4 is a Legislative Yuan electoral district in Xinzhuang, a densely populated area in western New Taipei. It covers several residential neighborhoods where housing and small businesses share the same streets.
This district was formed in 2008 when Taiwan reformed its legislative election system and introduced single-member constituencies. Since then, it has taken part in every national election held every four years.
The electoral process in this constituency reflects Taiwan's democratic values through regular elections where multiple parties compete for representation.
The district sits within Xinzhuang, which is easy to reach by metro from central New Taipei. During election periods, campaign materials and public gatherings are visible throughout the area.
Since 2008, the two main parties in Taiwan, the Kuomintang and the Democratic Progressive Party, have taken turns representing this constituency. Lee Yen-hsiu won the 2024 election, continuing that pattern.
