Yongcheng Theater

Yongcheng Theater is a mid-20th century building on Guokang Street featuring traditional Taiwanese architectural elements and a preserved stage curtain. The space retains original cypress chairs and vintage film equipment that were maintained during restoration work.

The building began as a rice mill during Japanese occupation. After World War II ended, it was converted into a theater in 1945 when Taiwan entered a new phase.

The theater functions as a gathering place where the neighborhood comes together for films and performances. Locals use the space to experience entertainment and connect with regional events that shape community life.
