Koreiz

Koreiz is a coastal settlement southwest of Yalta, located about 120 meters above sea level along the Black Sea shore. The landscape features two large palaces with distinct architectural characteristics, set against mountains in the background.

The settlement developed as a resort destination and was later connected with the spa town of Miskhor, contributing to its growth as a regional center. The two palaces date from different periods and reflect the region's shifting political circumstances.

The settlement's name has Turkish origins and the landscape is defined by two distinctive palaces that shape how people experience the place. Visitors encounter a mix of architectural styles that reflect the region's complex past.

Bring layers of clothing as the hillsides can be windier than the lower coastal areas. The two palaces are within walking distance of each other, connected by paved paths with some steep sections.

A wine cellar beneath one of the palaces once served as a venue for high-level visits and reflects the site's strategic importance in the past. Such underground spaces remain visible today and reveal details from that particular period.
