Holy Trinity church, Sykhiv

Holy Trinity Church is a wooden structure with five gilt domes whose geometric forms blend with the residential architecture of Sykhiv district. The building was designed by Canadian architect Radoslav Zuk between 1995 and 2001 and now serves as an active place of worship in the city.

The church was built in the 1990s and represents religious revival in Ukraine following independence. Its construction under Canadian architect Radoslav Zuk marked the return of active religious life to the city after decades under Soviet rule.

The icons inside were created by artist Svyatoslav Vladyka using contemporary methods that blend traditional religious imagery with modern materials such as marble and Venetian gold.

Visitors should expect moderate activity, especially during services and religious holidays. It is best to visit outside worship times to view the interior and decorations at a comfortable pace.

Local parish volunteers actively participated in the church construction, creating deep bonds among community members. This shared involvement in building their place of worship remains a defining aspect of the congregation today.
