Hrushove, Urban settlement in Luhansk Oblast, Ukraine
Hrushove is a small settlement located in Luhansk Oblast in eastern Ukraine. The community sits at an elevation of about 280 meters and is home to around 830 residents who live in a rural setting.
The settlement was classified as an urban-type community in 1925 when Ukraine's Central Executive Committee recognized it as a developing area. This designation remained in place for nearly a century until being discontinued.
The settlement maintains traditional eastern Ukrainian community structures, where residents participate in local governance through the Khrustalnyi urban hromada administrative system.
The settlement uses postal code 94546 and falls within the telephone area code +380 6432. Visitors should know that this is a rural community with basic services, so planning ahead is helpful.
In 2023 Ukraine officially eliminated the urban-type settlement category, and this community received a new administrative classification. This change ended a classification system that had existed since the early 1900s.
