Rocket Arena, Indoor arena in Downtown Cleveland, United States.
Rocket Arena is an enclosed hall in the center of Cleveland offering over 20,000 seats distributed across multiple levels. The structure features electronic scoreboards and a sound system that covers the entire interior space.
The hall opened in October 1994 as part of the Gateway Sports and Entertainment Complex, replacing the older Coliseum facility. Over the following decades the building underwent several renovations, with the largest modernization taking place between 2017 and 2019.
This venue serves as home to the Cleveland Cavaliers and welcomes concerts and sporting events throughout the year. The hall carries the name of mortgage company Rocket Mortgage, which has anchored its brand in the center of the city.
The hall sits in the city center and is accessible through several entrances distributed along different street sides. Visitors can have their tickets scanned electronically, which speeds up access to the seating areas.
Inside sits a two-story fan shop designed by Snarkitecture that offers merchandise in an architecturally crafted space. The installation combines retail with spatial design, creating an environment that goes beyond an ordinary sports shop.
