Rupp Arena, Indoor arena in Lexington, United States.

Rupp Arena sits within the Central Bank Center and holds more than 20,000 seats as the main venue for sports and entertainment in Kentucky's second-largest city. The facility spans multiple levels with seating sections, walkways, and service areas surrounding the central event floor.

The hall opened in late November 1976 with a design by architecture firm Ellerbe Becket and originally seated roughly 23,500 guests. After several decades of operation, the facility was updated to improve comfort and adjust capacity.

The venue takes its name from a renowned university basketball coach and regularly draws fans to games and concerts downtown. The hall serves as home for the college team and welcomes visitors from across the region throughout the year.

The facility offers contemporary amenities and allows visitors easy access to nearby restaurants and entertainment options in the city center. For large events, arriving early helps reduce wait times at entry.

The 2019 renovation removed several thousand seats to create wider aisles and more comfortable areas for guests. The decision reduced overall attendance but greatly improved sightlines and access for everyone present.
