Nazareth Speedway, NASCAR racing track in Lower Nazareth Township, Pennsylvania, USA
Nazareth Speedway was a paved motor racing facility in Lower Nazareth Township, Pennsylvania, measuring 0.946 miles in length with a tri-oval layout. The track had five turns and banking angles reaching up to six degrees at different points along the circuit.
The site opened in 1910 as a horse racing venue and was later converted by Roger Penske into Pennsylvania International Raceway in 1987. The facility then hosted IndyCar and NASCAR Busch Series races before closing permanently in 2004.
Local racing champions Mario and Michael Andretti began their careers at this track, which later hosted major IndyCar and NASCAR Busch Series events.
The site has been vacant since 2004 after all grandstands and racing infrastructure were completely removed by 2007. Access is not possible as the area now sits closed and unused.
Professional driver Rick Mears designed a special warm-up lane during the 1987 renovation work. The circuit was also where Mario Andretti and his son Michael first gained their early racing experience.
