The Ascent at Roebling's Bridge, Residential high-rise in Covington, United States
The concrete structure reaches 89 meters in height with its eastern face sloping outward from the base toward the Ohio River and Cincinnati skyline.
The residential tower, commissioned in 2004 and completed in March 2008, represents a joint effort between Daniel Libeskind and GBBN Architects at a cost of 50 million dollars.
The vertical design elements of the building mirror the suspension cables of the adjacent Roebling Bridge, connecting the historical importance of the waterfront with modern architecture.
The 22-story building contains 70 condominium units ranging from 88 to 650 square meters, along with amenities including a swimming pool and garden facilities.
The structure features a glass curtain wall exterior with vertical bands that provide natural shade for residences while creating dimensional interplay with balconies and terraces.
