First National Bank Tower

First National Bank Tower is a 45-story office building in downtown Omaha with light-colored granite cladding and a glass-enclosed winter garden at its base. The structure houses extensive office space and serves as one of the city's defining landmarks.

Leo A Daly designed this postmodern structure in 1997 and 1998, with construction completed in 2002 by Peter Kiewit Sons. The project represented a major renewal effort in Omaha's downtown business district at the turn of the 21st century.

The building incorporates design elements from the Medical Arts Building that once occupied this land, blending different eras of local architecture. This approach shows how the city values its past while moving forward.

The tower sits in the heart of downtown Omaha and is easy to reach from the surrounding streets. The building itself provides on-site parking options, making it accessible for both visitors arriving on foot and by car.

Rising 633 feet, this tower surpasses all structures between Minneapolis and Denver, even towering three feet above the famous St. Louis Arch. This distinction makes it a remarkable structural reference point across the region.
