AT&T Building

The AT&T Building is a corporate office tower with 16 floors in downtown Omaha that stands prominently among the surrounding structures. The building displays a clean, functional design with evenly spaced windows across its facade and a substantial vertical presence characteristic of mid-century office architecture.

The building first rose in 1918 with 15 stories and underwent several expansions through the 1950s, 1960s, and into 1970 as additional floors were added. These phased additions reflect how the company expanded its headquarters operations over several decades to accommodate growing business needs in the region.

This building represents the evolution of telecommunications infrastructure in Nebraska, having served as Northwestern Bell headquarters until 1991.

The building sits in the downtown business district and has good access to public transit services. Note that this is an active office building and interior access may be limited depending on building policies.

The building remained the tallest structure in downtown Omaha until the construction of Woodmen Tower and First National Bank Tower.
