150 West Jefferson, Office skyscraper in Downtown Detroit, United States
150 West Jefferson is a modern office building with 26 floors and a height of approximately 140 meters (455 feet) in the heart of Downtown Detroit. The facade combines glass, granite, and concrete in a postmodern style and contributes to the distinctive appearance of the financial district.
The building was constructed between 1987 and 1989, replacing the original Detroit Stock Exchange at the site. Elements from the historic facade were preserved and incorporated into the new design during construction.
The building houses several major law firms and serves as a center for the city's legal profession. Its presence shapes the business district and reflects the economic importance of Downtown Detroit.
The building connects directly to the Financial District station of the Detroit People Mover through an entrance in the main lobby. This connection provides convenient access for visitors and employees from public transportation.
The top of the building features four flagpoles approximately 9 meters tall displaying American flags. These flags are positioned high enough to remain visible from Windsor, Ontario, across the international border.
