Coolidge Reservation, Nature reserve in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, US.
The Coolidge Reservation features 42 acres of diverse coastal landscapes, including salt marshes, rocky shorelines, and forested areas along the Atlantic coast.
The land belonged to T. Jefferson Coolidge, great-grandson of Thomas Jefferson, who constructed a Georgian mansion called Marble Palace in 1902.
The Trustees of Reservations maintain this space as part of their mission to protect Massachusetts natural spaces for public enjoyment and education.
Visitors can access marked trails year-round from dawn to dusk, with designated parking areas available at the entrance of Clarke Road.
The Ocean Lawn, formerly the site of the Marble Palace mansion until 1958, provides panoramic views across Massachusetts Bay to the North Shore.
