Custom House Block

The Custom House Block sits on Long Wharf and combines granite and brick in a straightforward design with large windows. The structure overlooks Boston Harbor and occupies a central position on the historic wharf.

The building was erected between 1845 and 1887 under architect Isaiah Rogers and served customs administration and maritime trade. It was a key hub for import and export business on Long Wharf.
