Devils Island Light, Navigation lighthouse on Devils Island, Lake Superior, US.
The 22-meter cylindrical tower, constructed from cast iron, stands on the northern shore of Devils Island in Lake Superior, Wisconsin.
Congress allocated funds in 1889 for the lighthouse construction, leading to its activation in 1901 as the last of eight lighthouses in the Apostle Islands.
The lighthouse contains its original third-order Fresnel lens manufactured by Henry-Lepaute, which generates red flashes every ten seconds across Lake Superior.
The site includes keeper's dwellings, oil houses, a tramway, and a radio beacon tower, accessible through water taxi services during summer months.
President Calvin Coolidge and the First Lady marked their presence at Devils Island Light during their Wisconsin vacation in September 1928.
