Lokomotiv Stadium

Lokomotiv Stadium is a modern sports venue in Tashkent with capacity for about 17,500 spectators and features a covered main stand, floodlighting system, and natural grass playing surface. The seating areas are arranged on multiple levels surrounding the field.

The stadium was built on the site of the former Traktor Tashkent Stadium and completed in 2012. This project represented a major advancement for sports infrastructure in Central Asia.

The stadium name connects Uzbek Railways to local sports and shows a long tradition where railway companies have supported athletic activities.

The stadium has multiple entrances and adequate parking areas to handle large crowds. During events it is advisable to arrive early and use the marked routes to the entrances.

The stadium did not simply replace the old venue but nearly quadrupled the spectator capacity from the previous 6,400 to about 17,500 seats. This substantial expansion underscores the growing importance of football and sports in the city.
