Valencia's Aquarium, Recreational park and aquarium in Valencia, Venezuela
The aquarium complex spans multiple exhibition areas including marine habitats, terrariums, serpentariums, and a zoological section housing 1,300 animals of 115 species.
The facility opened in December 1975 on the site of Valencia's first aqueduct, constructed in 1886 under Antonio Guzmán Blanco's leadership.
The J.V. Seijas Foundation operates this educational center, which focuses on Venezuelan marine biology and wildlife conservation through interactive exhibits and research programs.
Visitors can access various amenities including restaurants, ice cream shops, walking paths, an auditorium, and a children's area with bumper cars and carousel.
The facility maintained the only trained Amazon river dolphins in captivity until 2016, when the last two specimens, Zeus and María, completed their lifecycle.
