Sơn Dương

Sơn Dương is a rural district in Tuyên Quang covering an area of rolling terrain with varying elevations throughout the region. The landscape features several rivers, agricultural areas, forests, and traditional villages scattered across the countryside.

The district formed as an administrative unit through Vietnam's territorial organization and developed as a center for rural communities. In September 2024, the area experienced major flooding when a section of the Lo River dike failed.
