Mehran Town is a residential zone in Karachi divided into nine sectors labeled 6-A through 6-I, each containing a mix of housing types and layouts. The area accommodates thousands of households spread across different blocks with varying densities.
Mehran Town was established in 1973 by the Karachi Development Authority as a planned residential project requiring advance payments from prospective buyers. The neighborhood grew out of efforts to expand housing capacity for the city's growing population.
The neighborhood is home to residents speaking Urdu, Sindhi, Pushto, Saraiki, and Hindko, reflecting a diverse and multilingual community. This linguistic mix shapes daily interactions and the social fabric of the area.
