The Saint Mary's Lutheran Church features a dome on a high drum and a portico with four Tuscan columns in Russian classical architecture.
The church, founded in 1734 under Empress Anna Ioanovna, received its stone structure in 1805 through architect Gottlieb Paulsen's design.
The congregation maintains three choirs, offers weekly classical music concerts, and features a baroque pipe organ with 27 registers and 1,500 pipes.
Services are conducted in both Finnish and Russian languages, with the church located at 8a Bolshaya Konyushennaya Street in Saint Petersburg.
The temple functions as the cathedral of the Church of Ingria and underwent extensive restoration in the 1990s with assistance from Finnish parishioners.
