Labor Park

Labor Park is a public park in Kaohsiung located at the intersection of Jhongshan and Mincyuan Roads, with numerous walking paths throughout the grounds. The area is well-planted with trees that provide shade and create a green setting for visitors and daily users.

The park was established to honor workers' contributions to Taiwan and recognize their role in society. Over time, it developed into a central gathering place for the surrounding community.

Senior residents gather daily for chess games and conversation, making the park a visible hub of local social life. These regular meetings shape how the space feels and shows its importance as a meeting point for the neighborhood.

The park is accessible throughout the day and night with multiple entry points around the perimeter. Its proximity to public transportation makes it easy to reach by bus or train.

The city's largest flower market once operated here but was temporarily relocated during metro construction. Its planned return will restore this location as a major trading hub for local vendors.
