Shinkuchan

Shinkuchan sits in central Kaohsiung and stretches along Wufu 2nd Road and Renzhi Street, lined with dozens of boutiques, cosmetics outlets and jewelry shops. Storefronts stand close together and restaurants or small cafés appear between the retail spaces.

This area grew into a major trading hub for imported goods during Kaohsiung's economic expansion in southern Taiwan. Over time more merchants settled here to offer clothing and accessories from overseas markets.

Local teenagers and young professionals often walk through these streets looking for outfits inspired by Paris, Milan, Hong Kong or Tokyo. This shopping zone has become a regular meeting spot for anyone interested in current trends and a relaxed place to spend a free afternoon.

The red line of the city metro stops at Central Park Station, from where the shops are a short walk away. Buses also run nearby, with stops at Central Park or Urban Spotlight.

Some shops like Top Power, Jo Jo Studio or Silver Place specialize in certain product ranges and sell both international labels and local brands. Prices range from budget items to higher-end collections that suit different spending habits.
