Camp Nordland, Former Nazi summer camp in Andover Township, New Jersey, US

Camp Nordland was a large property in Andover Township, New Jersey, featuring a banquet hall, open recreational grounds, and meeting spaces. It was designed to host large organized gatherings across its many sections.

The German American Bund began operating the site in 1937, using it to promote pro-Nazi ideas among German communities in the United States. By 1941, authorities in Sussex County forced the organization to shut down its activities there.

Camp Nordland served as a gathering place for members of the German American Bund, an organization that promoted German nationalist ideas in the United States. Events held there drew large crowds and reflected the political tensions of the late 1930s.

The property now operates as Hillside Park and is open to the public, with facilities available for community use. Some parts of the grounds can be rented for private events, so it is worth checking access before visiting.

A joint event held with the Ku Klux Klan in 1940 attracted only around 3,000 people when organizers had expected 50,000. The low turnout pointed to serious tensions between the two organizations despite their shared goals.
