Hôtel de Sélys-Longchamps, Private mansion in Mont Saint-Martin district, Liège, Belgium.

The Hôtel de Sélys-Longchamps is a private mansion in the Mont Saint-Martin district that blends Gothic and Renaissance elements. The structure retains timber frames from 1472 and displays traditional Mosan design throughout its walls and rooms.

This mansion was built in the 15th century and served as a residence for important families including de La Mark and de Méan. The last Prince-Bishop of Liège lived here and shaped its early importance.

The building reflects Mosan design traditions, a regional architectural style typical of the Meuse River area. You can see these characteristics in the facade details and how the interior spaces are arranged.

The building houses a restaurant serving classical French cuisine in a historical setting. Visitors should know the spaces span multiple levels and the interiors retain many original features that can be explored.

The building underwent comprehensive restoration in 1910 and retained its status as exceptional heritage of Wallonia. The careful restoration work under architect Edmond Jamar saved many details that could have been lost.
