The Hôtel de Sélys-Longchamps features Gothic and Renaissance architectural elements, with timber frames dating back to 1472 and traditional Mosan design influences.
Originally constructed in the 15th century, the mansion belonged to notable families including de La Mark and de Méan, with the last Prince-Bishop of Liège among its residents.
The building underwent extensive restoration in 1910 under architect Edmond Jamar, preserving its status as an exceptional heritage property of the Wallonia region.
The mansion houses L'Atelier du Sélys restaurant, which offers both five-course bistro menus and traditional brasserie cuisine in a historical setting.
After serving as a private residence for centuries, the property transformed into a five-star hotel complex in 2011 and joined the Van der Valk group in 2019.
