Casa de Cisneros, Renaissance mansion in Plaza de la Villa, Madrid, Spain.

The Casa de Cisneros exhibits Plateresque architecture with intricate stonework on its facade and detailed ornamentation throughout its exterior surfaces.

Built in 1537 by Benito Jiménez de Cisneros, the nephew of Cardinal Cisneros, the mansion underwent substantial renovations between 1910 and 1914 under architect Antonio Bellido.

The interior preserves exceptional 15th-century Flemish tapestries and houses a rare Francisco de Goya painting depicting Carlos III in hunting attire from 1785.

Visitors can access the mansion through Ópera station on metro lines 2 and 5, with guided tours available during the Open House Madrid event in September.

A cantilevered corridor connects Casa de Cisneros to Casa de la Villa across the narrow Calle de Madrid, creating an architectural bridge between these historical structures.
