Playa de la Tayada

Playa de la Tayada is a small sandy beach on the Asturian coast with white sand backed by rock formations and coastal plants. The cove has a protected feel due to the natural stone structures that frame it on the sides.

The beach sits on the Azpiri Peninsula, named after a family that owned the land during the region's early development. This local ownership shaped how the coastal area was settled and used.

Local fishers work along this coastal section, and you can often see them preparing nets or sorting their catch near the water's edge.

There is no direct road access, so you will walk from the parking area near Playa de Troenzo to reach the beach. The location has no facilities like toilets or food vendors, so bring anything you need with you.

At high tide, the entire sand surface disappears beneath the water, transforming the beach into an almost fully submerged cove. This tidal behavior makes it important to check the tide times before visiting.
