Playa del Paso stretches approximately 120 meters along the coast with a distinctive olive-colored sand shore bordered by natural basalt rock formations at water level. The beach measures roughly 11 meters wide from the waterline to its upper edge.

The coastal formation resulted from intense volcanic activity that shaped the Canary Islands, leaving deposits of basalt and mineral-rich sand across the region. The beach represents one outcome of these long-term geological processes that defined the islands' landscape.

The beach functions as a designated naturist space, part of Spain's approach to offering dedicated coastal areas for clothing-optional bathing. Visitors appreciate it as a location where this lifestyle choice is openly accommodated.

The beach has no permanent facilities, so visitors should bring everything they might need from supplies to shade. It is helpful to arrive with water, sun protection, and personal items since services are not available here.

The sand contains high concentrations of olivine minerals, giving it an unusual greenish-olive color that contrasts strikingly with the black basalt rocks surrounding it. This mineral composition makes the beach visually distinct from typical sand found elsewhere on the island.
