Olostunturi is a fell in Muonio rising to 524 meters, featuring several ski slopes and around 230 kilometers of Nordic ski tracks. The terrain stretches across the northern Finnish landscape and accommodates different skill levels.
The fell developed as a winter sports destination and became central to the region's tourism growth. Over time it was expanded and today ranks among the established winter sports centers in northern Finland.
The region carries the heritage of Sámi communities who have long inhabited these northern lands. Their traditions remain visible in local customs and the way people connect with the landscape throughout the year.
The area has four ski lifts including drag and button lifts serving various ability levels. Visitors will find well-marked routes and should check conditions and daylight availability depending on the season.
About 35 kilometers of the trails are artificially lit, making it possible to ski during the dark winter months. Additionally, snow-making equipment covers around 6 kilometers of routes to keep conditions consistent.
