Taivaskero

Taivaskero is the highest point of the Pallastunturi fell at 809 meters, with exposed rock formations and low-growing alpine plants covering its slopes. The terrain rises steeply and the summit offers open views in all directions.

Glacial processes during the Ice Age shaped the mountain's current form thousands of years ago, creating its distinctive rock faces and steep sides. These geological changes left the landscape that visitors encounter today.

The fell holds meaning for the Sámi community whose way of life has been tied to these mountains for centuries.

The trails are best navigable from June to August when snow has melted and conditions are most stable. Multiple marked paths lead to the top, with the longest loop taking several hours.

Reindeer graze in the alpine zone and can be spotted moving freely across the landscape, adding a living element to the visit. These animals are part of the region's natural rhythm.
